Mục tiêu của trò chơi là di chuyển đến ô Bác Học. Người đến ô Bác Học đầu tiên sẽ là người chiến thắng. Game có 2 chế độ chơi là Cổ Điển và Cải Tiến.

Ở chế độ Cổ Điển, người chơi chỉ tung xúc sắc để lựa chọn ô nghề sẽ đến. Các ô nghề khi tung xúc sắc sẽ không bị xáo trộn thứ tự.

Ở chế độ Cải Tiến, người chơi được sử dụng 6 loại thẻ để thay đổi kết quả tung xúc sắc. Các ô đích sẽ có thêm ô Khóa và Quà Tặng. Các loại thẻ trong chế độ Cải Tiến gồm: Cản Trở, Khóa Ô, May Mắn, Tung Lại, Lựa Chọn. Ở Lại.

– Thẻ Cản Trở: khi dùng thẻ này, bạn được chọn một người chơi khác. Người chơi này sẽ bị mất lượt ở lần chơi kế tiếp.

– Thẻ Khóa Ô: khi dùng thẻ này, người chơi khác không thể tiến đến ô bạn đang đứng. Thẻ chỉ có hiệu lực trong một lượt chơi.

– Thẻ May Mắn: người chơi tung lại xúc sắc, nếu tung được 6 sẽ được lựa chọn ô muốn đến. Nếu kết quả khác 6 sẽ lấy kết quả cũ.

– Thẻ Tung Lại: khi dùng thẻ này, kết quả tung xúc sắc sẽ bị hủy bỏ. Người chơi tung lại xúc sắc và lấy kết quả mới.

– Thẻ Lựa Chọn: người chơi tung xúc thêm một lần nữa. Sau đó lựa chọn giữa kết quả tung xúc sắc cũ và kết quả mới.

– Thẻ Ở Lại: khi dùng thẻ này, kết quả tung xúc sắc sẽ bị hủy bỏ. Người chơi sẽ ở lại ô đang đứng.

Trên bàn cờ sẽ có các ô Khóa. Các ô Khóa được tạo ra bởi người chơi và bởi luật chơi. Ô Khóa do người chơi tạo ra sẽ được mở khi người chơi đó đến lượt tung xúc sắc của mình. Ô Khóa do chương trình tạo ra sẽ được tự động mở sau số lượt chơi nhất định, tùy theo độ ưu tiên của ô.
